DENTAL BRIDGES

A Dental Bridge, or Fixed Partial Denture, is a prosthetic appliance used to replace one or more missing teeth. The anchor tooth is called a retainer or abutment, while the artificial tooth attached to the abutment is called a pontic. Similar to crowns, they are usually made of ceramic, metal alloy, or a combination of the two. They are designed to be cemented in the mouth long-term and not be removable by the patient.
